I've been on SU for almost a year now, but haven't filled anything out in this section at all until now (which would be June 18, 2008). Short little tidbits, I'm a beat maker/producer, musician (I play the guitar/piano/drums). Been dabbling with the arts for about 8 years now... you can check out my music on my Myspace page, the music can get all over the place... it mostly revolves around Hip Hop (I'm an underground purist), but I love to experiment with different genres, most recently the dub/ska treatment, but my tastes take me to many places... I like to live life with no boundaries, which I think comes through in the music... Enjoy :-)

A record-high $31.3 billion set aside by banks for loan losses, record trading losses and goodwill expenses dragged down fourth-quarter net incomes of insured banks to a 16-year low, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.'s quarterly banking profile released Tuesday. The cumulative increase to loan-loss provisions was the largest increase in 20 years.
The FDIC report comes on the heels of study from the Government Accountability Office made public last week, which found the FDIC recorded an estimated liability of $124 million at the end of 2007 for the anticipated failure of some insured institutions and also identified potential losses of $1.7 billion should vulnerable insured institutions also fail. ---
You ever go to your bank and see that plaque with FDIC right next to the teller??? Well they are even trippin on the economy!!!
